CCEO, PR and Communication

I love the arts in their different shapes and forms. It creates discourse, mirrors society and moves people. For TEMA I write and edit articles in the field of Arts & Culture. Next to TEMA, I am currently researching on Virtual Reality as a medium for music theatre and performance art. My interests are diverse but through journalism, I found a way to bring them all together.

CEO, Editor

I am inspired by idealistic political visions of change that can create new ways of living and thinking. My Master in International Studies in Portugal taught me those critical perspectives and TEMA allows me to dig deeper. What are the roots of inequality? And how can we fight them together? I believe part of the answer is solidarity, integrity and tolerance. With TEMA we created a platform to support each other, to bring awareness to unseen issues and to learn from various perspectives.

Editor in Chief

I recently noticed a big German bank using gender-sensitive language addressing female customers. It's the small things that can make big changes. For now. Writing my bachelor thesis I did research on women in the far-right scene. I became aware of how divided people’s thinking can be. TEMA enables me to present and rethink these thought processes.

Art Direction, Editor

I have a fondness and not enough money for magazines. I studied design. I look constantly for challenge and discussion; TEMA offers me the opportunity to do this publicly now. I like to call things by name and like to see myself confronted. I would describe myself as a passionate autodidact of visual design.

Proofreader

I was born in Johannesburg and grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. After studying English literature and philosophy, I worked for several years as a lecturer for Business English and as a research assistant for the Max Planck Society. I have a deep passion for the English language and for Anglophone literatures. For TEMA I edit and proofread texts before they go to publication.
